Dragonfly
After two dragonflies mate, the female dragonfly will lay her eggs on a plant in the water. If she is not able to find a plant, she will drop the eggs in the water.
Wasp Hatching Stages
Wasps nests are made from paper. The queen scrapes bits of wood fiber from logs, fences, cardboard and etc. She will break down the fibers in her mouth using saliva and water to weaken them. She takes the soft paper pulp to her chosen nest site. Her chosen site in this case was a tree branch hanging over the water.

The queen will build the hexagonal cells as she lays the eggs. She protects the brood cells by building a paper envelope, or cover, around them. She has to protect the eggs from the other wasp. If a wasp can eat her eggs and lay more eggs than the queen, that wasp will become the new queen.

These nests degrade naturally over the winter months, so each spring new ones must be constructed.
